Canvas Prints We’re Thankful For This Thanksgiving!

This week, we’ve opted for something a little different.

In the spirit of being mindful and thankful of the things surrounding us, we’ve sourced our employees’ favorite pieces of art from our website and compiled their thoughts on these stunning prints for you to enjoy and get to know us.

They say you can learn quite a lot about a person from their taste in art. If that’s true, we hope this post will give you a bit of insight as to who’s behind the velvet curtain, so to speak.

Without further adieu, let’s meet the team!

I’m naturally drawn to bold colors, lines of symmetry, repetition and abstract styles of artwork. I find comfort, excitement, and inspiration in the odd and unusual. The more room there is for subjectivity, the more attractive the piece becomes to me.

The Blogger

“I have a penchant for 19th and 20th-century art. I love the work of Van Gogh, Degas, Cassatt, Klimt, and, like any good Latina, I have a healthy appreciation for the work of Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera. This painting, for me, combines elements from all of these incredible artists. The bold colors and robust brush strokes, combined with the buttery strokes of flat, blameless, color, make this piece really dynamic and visually engaging. I love the vibrant protea blooms at the center of the composition and the way that the calla lilies subtly blend in with the swirling floral motifs of the wallpaper in the background...The more I look at this piece, the more I find things to fall in love with.”

–Ashley Mora

The Social Media Superstar

“This piece stood out to me because, first, I’m into fashion and, second, I always love a bold statement! AKA her hair!

–Alexa Quizon

The Graphic Designers

I tend to lean towards the cityscapes or abstract pieces on our website. In this one, I like the (mostly) neutral color palette with the splash of color in the highlights. The landscape has a calming feel for what is probably the busiest and fast-paced city in the world...I also love when cityscapes include bridges in them–it adds to the effect, for me.”

–Ioannis Xilikakis

I like that its a line.

–Neftali Ramos

“This piece caught my eye at first sight. This is one of those pictures you can look at for a long time and never get tired of it. Quite the opposite, every time you take a look at it you see it differently. It also gives you a feeling of inner peace and tranquility. I can almost feel all the smells of an autumn forest.”

–Alexandra Cvecan

The Product Specialists

“I love it cause it gives me peace and a feeling of freedom when I see it.”

    –Alejandra Tobar

“I think elephants are pretty cute and this elephant family is just too sweet.”

–Karen Alvarez

The Data Specialist

This piece is so vivid; it reminds me of many beautiful hiking trails I have visited. The water’s reflection is so smooth and inviting, almost invigorating.”

–Sandy Martinez

This canvas reminds me of home in rural North Carolina. The details look so realistic. A quick glance sends me back in time to a picturesque day at the lake with family and friends."

–Serenity Knight

The Boss

“The lion is one of my favorite animals and this print is unique with the beautiful patterns in his coat.

–David Vu
